The Media Relations Section of the
Williamson County Sheriff’s Office fosters cooperation and mutual
respect between the agency and the news media. The section falls under
the office of the Sheriff, who with his staff understands the importance
of using the media as a valuable resource to keep the public informed as
to the agency’s activities. In this regard, we realize that this role
is to assist members of the media in completing the task of gathering
information and reporting on news events impacting residents and
visitors to Williamson County.
The Media Relations Section is staffed
from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 pm Monday through Friday. Detective John
Foster serves as the agency’s spokesperson and he or a designee is
available on a 24-hour daily basis to respond to serious major incidents
to assist with the media.
