The
Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is responsible for conducting Criminal
Investigations of crimes committed against the citizens of Williamson
County. This team of professionals is comprised of 20 Criminal
Investigators. The Criminal Investigation Division consists of various units
each with personnel and equipment focused on a particular criminal activity.
The Crimes Against Persons Unit is comprised of investigators who specialize
in crimes such as Homicide, sexual
assault, aggravated assaults, etc. The Property Crimes Unit includes
investigators that focus on Auto theft, burglary, criminal mischief, credit
card abuse etc.
The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office
Criminal Investigation Division is based out of the Headquarters building
located in Georgetown, Texas. There are also investigators assigned to the
West and East Substations in effort to provide faster intervention for the
crimes they investigate, which generate a more rapid resolution to the cases
they work.
